At present, the slag-stopping ball and slag-stopping stopper (bar) used in converter slag-stopping can not effectively block the slag in the early stage of converter steelmaking, and a large amount of steel slag enters the ladle, which brings harm to the off-furnace refining process. The return of phosphorus and sulfur makes it difficult to control the element in molten steel within the ideal range.

Through the use of the slag retaining mechanism of the converter, the steel slag is effectively recovered in the furnace, and the slag splashing process is used to increase the furnace life of the converter, so as to solve the headache problem caused by the irregular erosion of the steel outlet. Adopting the new process of slag control and steel extraction to improve the yield of alloy can greatly save the amount of aluminum, reduce the cost significantly, and improve the economic benefit and the competitiveness of the product in the market.

Converter slag retaining mechanism consists of a base, a support, a fixed part, a sliding frame, a spring component, etc. The upper slide gate plate brick is fixed in the base frame, and the lower slide gate plate brick and the lower nozzle brick are fixed in the sliding frame. The sliding frame can be reciprocated in the support through the slideway, and the moving interface establishes constant and uniform interface pressure through the spring assembly. The hydraulic cylinder of the power source drives the sliding frame to reciprocate through the driving component to realize the flow control and slag retaining of the molten steel.

The sliding nozzle control mechanism is composed of a base, a support, a slide block, a spring box, a pressing elbow, the upper nozzle brick, the upper slide gate plate brick, the lower nozzle brick and the lower slide gate plate brick. The pressing and loosening of the upper slide gate plate brick and the lower slide gate plate brick are controlled by the spring box mechanism. Because the layout of the spring box is reasonable, it is less affected by high temperature, the elasticity is long, not easy to loose, easy to use, simple structure, small size, light weight, long service life and so on.
